Dear Family, Dean will be remembered for all the good things he did and stood for; for the great times spent together, and for being the best brother-in-law anyone could ask to be theirs.

Dear Mike and family, I’m so sorry for your loss. I’ll never forget how your Dad helped my Mom get a car all those years ago. I was brought to tears when I read your Mom had passed in 02. I really loved that lady!! When I was young and crazy she was the only adult who was nice to me, Lol! She was even brave enough to let me cut her hair. Sending thoughts and prayers. Hugs to you all.

Micheal thank you so much for calling me. I loved your dad so much. From the first time we met he said just call me “Papaw” and I did. My grandparents had been gone for several year. He was special to me, and I will miss him. He would say Randi honey why do you take the time for this old fart? And I would say because you are the only Papaw I have and I love you. Throughout the years, I have shared many memories with him and Mr. Bailey. We had fun times going out to dinner, and just laugh and talk about whatever we could think of. I have called him in happy times, like when my grandchildren were born, as well as sad, frustrating times. My husband would joke with him and Mr. Bailey that they were the only fellas I was allowed to go to dinner with. They would say there was no risk by letting me go to dinner with them. Haha I loved you and still do Papaw 🙁

Dean Lutes was probably one of the nicest patients i have had the pleasure of having in the hospital. He always was smiling and such a welcoming demeanor. I’m sad to hear of his passing. He definitely was a memorable person even in the short term I saw him.
